The Ten Commandments

The Lord God already loves me therefore:

1. I will have not other gods beside Him.

2. I will not create any false idols out anything that is in heaven, in the earth, or in the water under the earth. I will not bow down or serve them.

3. I will not take the name of the Lord my God in vain.

4. I will remember the Sabbath day to keep holy. In six days, the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them. Then, He rested on the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

5. I will honor my father and mother so that my days will be long in the land that the Lord my God is given me.

6. I will not kill.

7. I will not commit adultery.

8. I will not steal.

9. I will not bear false witness against my neighbor.

10. I will not covet my neighbor’s house, wife, or property.
